I can see them, hear them, and feel them. The signs of spring are here at last. It was actually in the 50's and 60's last week, it has rained for more then 48 hours now and the last sign is.....wait for it.....oh thats right my son and husband cant breathe and their noses are a faucet. Yup that's right Ben has yet another sinus/allergy/cold whatever. Jeremy gets the seasonal problems from now until the end of May almost and then in the fall. Ben on the other hand not sure if it is allergies or cold or combo of both. He gets the runny rose and thats it. He was very crabby for a couple days and didnt eat either so who knows. Either way it has been a long week. Now the rain has moved in to flood the state but we did get to play out doors with no coats on for at least a couple days in a row. Ben was loving life even if he had to get his nose wiped every 2 minutes.
By the way does anyone have tricks to get their child to blow their nose? I have tried everything but he keeps sucking it back into his head. HAHA Hope the rest of the world is enjoying what could be the end of winter.

Conquering a fear
If you ever wonder if your children turn into you then look no further. Look at how your child acts to certain situations and think back to your childhood. Where you scared of clowns? Thunderstorms? Didnt like certain foods? Like certain toys? Well my son is a tiny version of me when it comes to being adventurous.....or NOT as in my case.
When Ben was old enough for me to put up on the counter at the bank or post office so you can sign something etc he would always scream and not like it. Big slides make him nervous and going to parks is a bust unless there is plenty of room to just run. He doesnt like climb on things, jump off of really high things.....basically likes to stay near the ground. Well Ben has broken out of his shell a tad bit and actually went on moon bounces all by himself AND climbed up and slid down the big slide. He (and I) were so proud of him. I would like to thank Adam and Ryan his friends for the peer pressure......well not really peer pressure as it was showing Ben that it is NOT scary to do those things eventhough mommy tried showing him. We are going back this week and again in a couple week. My little boy is one big boy.
School is coming
Benjamin is proud to announce that he has signed up for pre-school for this coming fall. I found one cheap and close to the house. Now I have to start preparing myself for my baby to become a road scholar. Currently he is doing a Mom's Morning Out at a church one day a week. Last week was the first time I actually left him there. He did great and only tiny cried for a little bit.
I hardly ever get free mommy time and did not know what to do with myself for 3 hours. I ran my errands and was done in no time. I need to start planning certain things like grocery shopping without someone always wanting something. Holiday shopping will be even easier this year without Ben watching what I'm putting in the cart.
Ben is very excited about going to school now and when he sees a bus thinks he gets to ride it. Stay tuned this fall to see how we both do.
